The 1603 reference has one thing in mind, versatility.

In an age of crazy Serti and painted dials, you are far more likely to find the more neutral shades of white, silver and grey than anything outlandishly vibrant as you would on gold or Rolesor models. This particular piece features a rich navy dial.

The bezel, with its fluted pattern, is one of those features that identifies the ref. 1603 as being old school, while also adding some “new school” elements.

These days, opinions are scattered amongst collectors, but one thing most can agree on is the 1603 should definitely be in rotation at some point!
