Although a green dial I’d interesting , what immediately pops is the stunning sapphire bezel of this SBGJ239 watch. The black and white sections separate day hours from night hours.
At 44mm in size, this piece is the one in your collection once you’ve covered all the basics, if there ever could be a quid pro- quo to the brand.
On less sporty Grand Seikos — such as the Snowflake and the Mt. Iwate models , for example — there’s no lume. Here, where it’s because of the green color or vibrant red GMT hand, it shines through.
At the end of the day, this watch accomplished what it set out to do, be different and we think that’s pretty badass!
